TRENDS TRANSITIONING INTO 2014

It's a new year but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't transition your fave styling cues from yester-year into your new year self. Fashion trends come and go and some should have never come at all, but when there are good ones, I can't help but to make an effort and hold tight. I've become quite the fan of repurposing looks from different seasons and carrying them on in a refreshingly "new" feel. These are a few of my ultimate styling favorites, and while not new, these are definitely having their moment in 2014 just as much as they did during their debut.

Sneakers with skirts, dress pants, dresses - you name it, is by far my favorite trend of 2013 that has made its way into 2014. Mixing in a sneaker with an unlikely combination is just the right amount of juxtaposition needed to give a look its "it" factor.

Midi Skirts & Graphic Tees Let's take our midi skirts out in 2014 by incorporating a laid back vibe with a graphic tee. This look is totally wearable for a casual or dressed up outing and I love how girly & edgy it can be.

Monochromatic B&W Although we are approaching spring, black and white monochromatic outfits continue to have a life span with pattern play and geometric elements.

Ombré Hair I had ombré hair about two years ago and dyed it because it was "out" but ta-da Kim K's blonde hair transition has made it relevant once again, with everyone jumping back on the ombré tip. I personally love a good ombré job and Kim's is perfect!

Athletics Sporty fashion: track pants, trainers, elastics, and shift shirts are still in and still a fave fashion cue of mine.
