*Miami: Through the Lens of Street Fashion - Week 8 This week we took our project to the streets of South Beach. At a glance, you may think these pictures were taken in the wee hours of the morning because the streets looks so perfectly desolate. Au contraire. We went on quite the hunt to find a non-busy area that would work well with the outfit. One thing I'm big on is somehow making the location fit in with the outfit, be it - colors, textures, or overall vibe. Annie's outfit screams South Beach fun and I wanted to portray that.
We hit the alleys in search of serenity and some pedestrian-free areas. Lo and behold, while searching for peace we stumbled across alley stragglers "conveniently" hanging around. Good thing I'm not shy and I put my camera down and bluntly said, "Can you move? You're in my shot." The men moved, we got a good laugh and we were able to get these done.
On the flip side, we also witnessed a lot of poverty along the alleys with numerous homeless boxes set aside their few belongings. It was a sad but realistic site. From now on, we'll be capturing more of our surroundings when doing these posts. We feel it's important to show the good and bad side of each area we visit.
